Instructions

  1. Spread cream cheese in bottom of pie crust to cover.

  2. Cover cream cheese with powdered sugar.

  3. Separate firm berries from soft berries.

  4. Put 2 cups of firm berries into pie crust.

  5. Put remaining 2 cups of berries, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan.

  6. Cook on medium heat until mixture thickens.

  7. When thickened, remove from heat.

  8. Add lemon juice and butter.

  9. Cool until lukewarm.

  10. Pour berry mixture over berries in pie crust.

  11. Chill a few hours to set the pie.

  12. Top with whipped cream if desired.
