Instructions

  1. Stir together sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  2. Put sugar mixture into large nonreactive cooking pot containing the 10 cups of water.

  3. Bring to boil. Heat until thick and bubbly.

  4. Add lemon juice.

  5. Add sliced apples. Cook for just a few minutes.

  6. Put into hot sterilized jars.

  7. Process for 20-25 minutes.
